Annie Mae Bush

Annie Mae King was born on September 19, 1933, to Alex King and Ollie Mae (Flowers) King in Mills County. On July 20, 1950, in San Saba Texas, Annie married Samuel Bush, the man she would spend the next 64 years of her life with. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Bush of Brownwood; two daughters, Kathy Harvey and husband Wyn of Longview and Betty Jenkins of Brownwood; five grandchildren; Lauri Holt and Michael Thompson of O’Fallon MO; Michael Harvey and Jeanie Dowell of Gilmer, Amy and Bryan Baccus of Brownwood, Keith Bush and Kim Chesser of Cypress, and Jennifer Jenkins and Adan Garza of San Angelo. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, Ayden Thompson of O’Fallon MO, Ryan and Reanna Watson, Sapphire Harvey and Lillie Dowell, all of Gilmer, Caleb and Deanna Baccus of Brownwood, Kade Bush and Taylor Chesser of Cypress; daughter-in-law, Mary Bush of Lolita; brother, Marlin King of Brownwood; brother-in-law, Glen Bush and wife Nell, of Brownwood; sister-in-law Joyce Bush of San Saba and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Bush; two brothers and three sisters. Annie Bush spent her entire life serving God and loving people. She sewed clothes for her daughters and bought beautiful clothes for her grandkids. She taught Sunday school for children at Full Gospel Church in San Saba and Women’s Bible Studies in Brownwood. Annie preached 6 weeks during a nightly revival on Main Blvd in Brownwood. She was room mother for all three kids and cooked Sunday dinners for her family including her parents, brothers and sisters’ families for years. She was ordained in China by the Nora Lam Ministry and she and Sam had also set up meetings in lower states for the Nora Lam Ministry as well. Annie had been a fervent prayer warrior all of her life and had been on numerous Mission trips to Taiwan, China, Africa, Jamaica and Mexico. She was also known to smuggle Bibles into Communist China! She loved to travel and had taken trips to Israel, Denmark and Austria. But most of all, she loved her family and trusted in God.
