Mr Jesse Daniel Carlton

Graveside services for Jesse Carlton, 51, of Brownwood, will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, March 24, in Greenleaf Cemetery with Bishop Michael Fuqua officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations. No visitation has been planned. Mr. Carlton died on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Jesse Daniel Carlton was born on January 22, 1964, in Brownwood, to Robert Elison Carlton and Annora Reed Carlton. He was raised and attended school in Brownwood and graduated in 1984. Jesse had worked several jobs in the area and had done some welding but his main occupation was trucking. He enjoyed being on Facebook and his spare time and he loved to fish and swim. Jesse also enjoyed woodworking, reading about history and going to the café for “coffee and conversation.” He also had a special love of animals of all kinds, especially his little cockatiel “JoJo”. If you knew Jesse, you knew that he loved his family and he loved the Lord above all else. Jesse was a lifelong resident of Brownwood and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Annora Reed Carlton; two sons, Richard Lynn Gray and wife Seneca Cheyenne Hildabrand Gray, Jacob Sterling Carlton and wife Ariel Analisia Carlton; daughter, Chastity Dawn Olene Garrison and husband Jonathan Wade Garrison; sister, Anita Kay Ferrer and husband A.J. Ferrer; brother, Robert Lynn Carlton and wife Tina Carlton; grandchildren, Braxton Lynn Gray, Sophia Jane Gray, Zoey Cheyenne Gray, Montana Elizabeth Carlton, Maddison Renee Carlton and Charidy Faith Garrison; nieces, Marcia Kay Sherrin and husband Dainen Sherrin, Christina Lee Dillard and husband Justin Tharp, Chelsie Gist and husband Jared Gist; nephews Joshua Dillard and Trenton Carlton; and Great-nieces and nephews, Karen Ann Sherrin, Michael Edward Tharp, Brek Branson Gist and Kevin Lee Sherrin. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Frances Charlene Burnett and his special friend, JoJo.
